Calcium Ammonium Nitrate
Calcium Ammonium Nitrate is a high-quality top-dressing fertilizer that combines in an ideal ratio (50:50) the two assimilable Nitrogen forms with the Calcium.
Nitric Nitrogen (NO3) is immediately absorbed by the roots, covering the current needs of the crops, while the Ammoniacal Nitrogen (ΝΗ4) is absorbed gradually, offering sufficient nutrition to the crops during the following stages of development.
The Calcium they contain promotes the physical and chemical properties of the soil, enhances the ventilation and permeability of water and ensures the robust and healthy growth of the crops.
With many common features with Ammonium Nitrate and additional Calcium, Calcium Ammonium Nitrate is one of the best top-dressing fertilizer for cereals.
Its special composition guarantees the maximum utilization of Nitrogen by the plants and together with Ammonium Nitrate presented the smallest Nitrogen losses due to vaporization than any other fertilizer (simple or stabilized) and make the fertilization program more flexible.
Nitrogen of Calcium Ammonium Nitrate is absorbed in an easy and immediate way, without the interpolation of any external factors between plant and fertilizer, as is the case with Urea and Ammonium Sulphate.

The fully water-soluble and absorbable Nitrogen contained, is provided without delay to crop and ensures the demand energy required for a quickly growth of the root and the above-ground part of the plant, while its composition improves the intake of other elements (K, Ca, Mg), promotes fruit setting and contributes significantly to increased production.
Unlike Urea, Calcium Ammonium Nitrate has no restrictions on the application time and it responds well, both at low and high ground temperatures.
The minimum soil moisture required to absorb and exploit the Nitrogen by the plants, make Calcium Ammonium Nitrate the best choice for top-dressing fertilization of cereals for all soil types and all climatic zones.
Depending on the requirements of cereals, it can be applied from the beginning of the tillering (weak soils with low plants density) until very late during the culm elongation (high fertile soils with high plants density), giving excellent results in periods which other fertilizers are lagging behind or create serious problems for cereals.
Designed to meet the needs of cereals, Calcium Ammonium Nitrate provides excellent and complete nutrition with Nitrogen, contributes to the robust growth of the crop and increases its yields on grain and protein.
